Entry requirements

To enter the Certificate in Introduction to Additive Manufacturing, learners should have the following: A Level 6 Higher Certificate in an engineering or relevant technical discipline (or equivalent). Recognition of Prior Learning Applicants who do not currently meet the academic entry requirements but who may have a substantial recorded of relevant learning (gained through work experience for example) equivalent to the entry requirements may make their case for admission using the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process. The learning claims of each candidate would then be assessed for admission to the programme on a case by case basis by the programme team in line with institute policy. This programme is not intending to complete CAD design capabilities but to review in detail the specific software packages used in Additive Manufacturing and introduce the new level of design freedom available. English Language Competency Eligible applicants must at least meet the minimum English language competency requirements for the University.
