Actor Training - Advanced (Classical Acting)

An advanced course in Actor Training and Musical Theatre, offering training to reach professional performing standards. This is an advanced course for applicants with relevant experience.

Entry requirements Entry to the course is by audition /workshop and interview. A minimum of one year previous training in performance is required with experience and qualifications equivalent to the Performance – Drama Foundation Programme. Audition requirements: All prospective students Auditioning for the Performance Course are required to prepare either

• one Classical (Shakespeare) Monologue or
• one Modern Monologue from a recognised Playwright. A Dance Routine will be taught on the day. A Verse from a song will be taught on the day. All of the above will be followed by an interview. General College Entry Requirements You should be at least 16 years of age. Leaving Certificate / Leaving Certificate Applied standard Level 4 Major award Individual courses may have specific additional requirements. These will be outlined in the course descriptions for each course. Relevant work experience or training will be considered.
